ABOUT

I fell in love with voice acting very young, listening to tapes of the Goon Show that my grandmother gave to me.  I was always a bit of a parrot, mimicking voices and accents I heard around me.

A love of languages led me to pursue a degree in Japanese.  I spent my second year living in Japan, immersing myself in the language and culture.  I had to learn a new way of speaking, adapting to different grammar, emphasis and tone.  This continues to help me in my work today.

I worked as a massage therapist for years before I found my way into voice acting.  Creating a relaxing and safe space for my clients was crucial and the way I spoke to them was a key part of that.

Before I moved to full time voice acting, I spent over a year doing intensive coaching with the team at RichCraft.  Tanya Rich and her coaches taught me how to interpret scripts, how to be consistent, how to breathe and how to get the most out of my instrument.

I love voice acting, it's so much fun.  It feels like play, collaborating with creative people to tell stories of all kinds.

I have run and played hundreds of hours of games like Dungeons and Dragons.  Role playing games gave me the opportunity to develop characters, practice voices and improvise.
