Character work is central to everything I do. By creating authentic, relatable characters tailored to the story that my client wishes to tell, I forge a deeper, more personal connections with your audience.
I love crafting characters, whether they be for a larger than life animation or for the polished gravitas of a business promotion.
CHARACTER REELS
When I made my drama and animation reels, I created the small host of characters hiding in my hair above. I came up with their voices, wrote their backstories, thought about their likes and dislikes, and even how they might feel about one another. Then I found myself drawing them, further building out the picture of who each of them were.
This process of character creation is something I use at work every day. I flip through my mental rolodex of characters and pick out the right voice for each project. I often voice as a bigger version of myself, subtly adapted to most effectively connect with the story of the script. However, I am always ready to channel one of the multitude of characters in my head to add that extra special something to your project.
